Ongoing Everyday Investigation Book Assignment
Assignment:
Students will collaborate with other students in formatting a book and curating images based on their ongoing everyday investigations of observations.
Standards:
VA:Cr1.2.la: Shape an artistic investigation of an aspect of present-day life using a contemporary practice of art or design.
VA:Cr2.1.8a Demonstrate willingness to experiment, innovate, and take risks to pursue ideas, forms, and meanings that emerge in the process of artmaking or designing.
VA:Cr2.2.IIIa Demonstrate understanding of the importance of balancing freedom and responsibility in the use of images, materials, tools, and equipment in the creation and circulation of creative work.
VA:Pr4.1.IIIa Critique, justify, and present choices in the process of analyzing, selecting, curating, and presenting artwork for a specific exhibit or event
VA:Pr5.1.IIIa Investigate, compare, and contrast methods for preserving and protecting art.
Bring in examples of books varying in paper type, binding, size, bleeds, color pallet, medium, simplicity, complexity and review the books for these qualities. Talk about the standards of design.
